Historical Player Profiles

From the Denmark 2001 Tour programme

After missing out on Prague last year, Sweaty Sock Hughsie has managed to join us abroad this time around having finally passed his GCSEs at the 13th time of asking, though Mike is yet to notice the severe dent in the club's funds. With the ability to offer the side an attacking option on either wing, Club Treasurer Steve is also a target for the Chairman's good-natured abuse in the absence of Chidi. On occasions the Geordie cheekily responds to comments made and, after picking himself and his flag up from the floor, he signals for offside. A study has found matchday subs are really £2.50.

From the Vicenza 2002 Tour programme

Steve is a loyal servant to Woodhurst and is always good for a laugh, if it's not the fact that he's a Sweaty posing as a Geordie, it's because he has a new car like a hairdresser's. The goal of the season winner has recently found a little joy in a new position. The former right-midfielder has had a successful spell at right-back since the injury to Jason and it's not the first time he's filled the barrow boy's slot at the back.
