From the Prague 2000 Tour programme
Poor old Nick is from Birmingham. The club's prolific social secretary is the man behind all of our recent outings, unfortunately all the invites were lost in the post, or that's what he claims! Centre half Bash loves to get into the box, often arriving late for set plays, his spurting runs put him in positions where he can exploit the open spaces and score. Nick is also going grey.
From the Denmark 2001 Tour programme
Another Rock at the heart of the Woodhurst defence, Nick Bashford - Clubman, has had another solid season in the claret shirt. If you were to cut him in half you'd see 'Woodhurst' going right through him, but in both cup finals it was the Lita forwards who done that instead. As far as I am aware brummie Bash still holds the position of the club's social secretary, though he spends more time socially holding secretaries in clubs. Fair play to the lad though, as a second William Hill book opened for the tour has Bash down as second favourite to bag off with a viking sort at 5/3.
From the Vicenza 2002 Tour programme
Club captain and Events Manager, Brummie Bash has been as regular this year with social events as an OAP with constipation. We are now going on our first full rinse - except for the mandatory Christmas party - since Denmark twelve months ago. Unfortunately, the skipper missed out on Woodhurst's cup glory this term, however he is looking to extend the team's unbeaten European run as they seek their second consecutive overseas win. Bash brought his first bottle of 'Just For Men' shortly after Christmas.
